Project Summary

Ayesh Egypt will distribute Ramadan dry food packages to verified vulnerable families in Egypt’s most underserved areas. Beneficiaries are selected from Ayesh’s verified database aligned with national social support verification practices. The project provides immediate food security, ensures dignity, and delivers full transparency through beneficiary sign-off, documentation, and photo/video evidence.

Background / Need

Ramadan brings increased household food needs while many families in Egypt face significant financial stress and food insecurity. Vulnerable households—especially those led by widows, families with orphans, elderly dependents, disability cases, and extremely low-income workers—often struggle to meet basic nutritional needs. This project delivers essential dry food packages to reduce hardship and prevent negative coping strategies during Ramadan.

Goal

Provide immediate Ramadan food security support to the largest possible number of verified needy families in Egypt through documented, transparent distribution.

Objectives

  1. Distribute dry food cartons to verified vulnerable households in targeted high-need areas.
  2. Ensure fair targeting using verified lists and de-duplication checks.
  3. Deliver transparent execution with full beneficiary endorsement and evidence-based reporting.
  4. Provide donor visibility and co-branded media outputs (subject to approval).

Target Beneficiaries

Primary: Vulnerable households in Egypt (high poverty and high vulnerability).

Priority segments include:

  • Female-headed households / widows
  • Families with orphans
  • Elderly-supported households
  • Disability and chronic vulnerability cases
  • Extreme low-income households

Geographic Focus

Egypt’s most underserved communities selected from Ayesh’s beneficiary database and field prioritization (governorates/areas determined per funding cycle and readiness).

Beneficiary Selection & Verification

  • Beneficiaries are drawn from Ayesh’s database of verified families.
  • Pre-distribution de-duplication is applied to reduce double assistance.
  • On-site verification at distribution point (according to process) + matching beneficiary list.
  • Beneficiary receives carton only after sign-off/endorsement is completed.

What Will Be Distributed

Dry food cartons intended to support a household during Ramadan. Ayesh provides three carton options:

Carton Options (Unit Prices in USD)

  • Economy Carton: USD 24.54 each
  • Standard Carton: USD 33.76 each
  • Enhanced Carton: USD 51.93 each

Note: Content lists and supplier quotations can be attached as “Annex B”.

Budget & Funding Options

Funding is flexible: donors can sponsor any number of cartons or any portion of the program.

Example Impact per USD 10,000 (Approx.)

  • Economy: ~407 cartons (10,000 / 24.54)
  • Standard: ~296 cartons (10,000 / 33.76)
  • Enhanced: ~192 cartons (10,000 / 51.93)

Suggested Sponsorship Packages (Recommended for Sabeeli)

  • $1,227 → 50 Economy cartons
  • $2,454 → 100 Economy cartons
  • $3,376 → 100 Standard cartons
  • $5,193 → 100 Enhanced cartons
  • $10,000 → ~407 Economy cartons (trial-ready option)
  • $30,000 → ~1,222 Economy cartons (or mixed types)

You can also present the project as “Sponsor X Families” (1 carton = 1 family).

Implementation Plan (Simple)

  1. Preparation: confirm areas, beneficiary lists, distribution plan, donor branding approvals.
  2. Procurement: purchase cartons based on selected type(s) and quantities.
  3. Packaging & Branding: apply co-branding stickers/materials (if approved).
  4. Distribution: deliver cartons to verified beneficiaries; collect sign-off forms.
  5. Reporting: provide donor evidence pack and final report.

Timeline

Designed for fast Ramadan execution. Depending on approvals and supplier readiness, distribution can be executed quickly once branding is confirmed (logo/creative approvals) and funding is confirmed.

Deliverables (What the Donor Receives)

  1. Distribution Summary Report (locations, totals, dates)
  2. Beneficiary Evidence Pack
    • Signed endorsement forms (Annex C)
    • Site distribution summary sheets
  3. Photo & Video Evidence Pack
    • Structured photo set per site/day
    • Short highlight video (optional)
  4. Financial Summary

Monitoring, Evidence & Accountability (Key Selling Point)

Ayesh ensures end-to-end traceability through:

  • Verified beneficiary lists + de-duplication checks
  • Standardized field documentation
  • Beneficiary endorsement/sign-off per family
  • Photo/video evidence with consent controls
  • Centralized evidence indexing (folders per site/date)
  • Complaint/feedback channel for integrity and protection

Donor Branding & Media

Subject to donor guidelines and approvals:

  • Donor logo on stickers/posters/banners (if used)
  • Co-branded campaign visuals and short videos
  • All branding and media materials shared for final donor approval before printing/publishing

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • of cartons distributed
  • of households reached
  • of distribution sites and dates covered
  • % beneficiaries with completed sign-off forms
  • of media evidence items delivered (photos/videos)
  • of complaints received and resolved (if any)

Risks & Mitigations (Short)

  • Duplication/ineligibility → verified lists + ID checks + de-duplication
  • Crowd/safety risk → scheduled slots + queue management + supervision
  • Delays/logistics → rapid procurement planning + contingency scheduling
  • Documentation gaps → mandatory forms + daily evidence checklist + supervisor review
  • Privacy/consent → consent capture + non-identifying filming if refused

Sponsor a Ramadan Food Package for a family in need.

Choose a carton type (Economy / Standard / Enhanced) or fund any amount to scale the number of families reached.

Every carton = one family supported.
